Service Without Limits

TCESD12 provides all-hazards emergency response and community services across northeast Travis County, serving more than 50,000 residents across a 95-square-mile area that includes the City of Manor, Webberville, Littig, New Sweden, Decker Creek, and the US Highway 290 corridor.

As one of the fastest-growing regions in Central Texas continues to expand, TCESD12 remains committed to delivering fast, professional, and highly trained response services built around one mission: protecting life, property, and community.

Fire Suppression and Emergency Response

TCESD12 provides full-service fire suppression capabilities for residential, commercial, and wildland-urban interface incidents. Crews are trained and equipped to respond to structure fires, vehicle fires, grass and brush fires, and complex incidents requiring coordinated fireground operations.

With five strategically located fire stations, response crews are positioned to serve both established neighborhoods and rapidly developing areas along the eastern Travis County corridor.

Emergency Medical Services

Emergency medical response is a core function of TCESD12 operations. Crews respond to thousands of EMS calls each year, providing rapid assessment, treatment, and transport coordination for medical emergencies ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

Staff are trained at the EMT-B, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic levels, with ongoing training focused on advanced patient care, trauma response, and cardiac emergencies. TCESD12 works closely with regional partners to ensure patients receive seamless continuity of care from the scene to the hospital.

Rescue and Technical Operations

TCESD12 provides specialized rescue capabilities for complex emergency situations. This includes vehicle extrication, confined space operations, and technical rescue support where additional skill and equipment are required to safely reach and remove patients.

These operations are supported by continuous training in controlled environments to ensure crews are prepared for high-risk, low-frequency events.

Community Risk Reduction and Prevention

Prevention is a critical part of TCESD12’s mission. The department works year-round to reduce risk through public education, inspections, and community outreach programs.

Services include fire safety education, station tours, school programs, car seat safety checks through certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians, and public engagement initiatives designed to help residents reduce preventable emergencies before they happen.

Emergency Management and Preparedness

TCESD12 plays an active role in emergency preparedness and planning across the district. This includes coordination with local, county, and regional partners to support disaster readiness, incident planning, and coordinated response efforts during large-scale emergencies.

The department also participates in training exercises and multi-agency coordination to ensure operational readiness for severe weather, mass casualty incidents, and other community-wide events.

Public Information and Community Communication

Clear, timely communication is a key part of TCESD12 operations. The Public Information Office provides real-time updates during large-scale emergencies, shares safety information, and keeps the community informed through digital platforms and public outreach.

From incident awareness to prevention messaging, communication efforts are designed to keep residents informed, prepared, and connected to the services that protect them.

A Commitment to a Growing Community

As northeast Travis County continues to grow, TCESD12 continues to evolve with it. Investments in staffing, training, facilities, and equipment ensure the department is ready to meet increasing demand while maintaining high standards of service.

Every response, every training evolution, and every community interaction is guided by a simple commitment: showing up when it matters most.
