Travis County Emergency Services District 12 (TCESD12) is excited to invite the community to the grand opening of its new District Headquarters and Fire Station 1204 on Friday, May 15, 2026!

To celebrate this major milestone, TCESD12 will open the doors to the public and host a community block party from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the new facility located at 12701 E US Hwy 290.

This new facility marks a major milestone for TCESD12, serving as the district’s first dedicated headquarters facility while expanding the district to a total of five fire stations. Designed to support continued growth and enhance emergency response capabilities, the station represents an investment in the future of the community and the services provided to it every day.

 

A Celebration Built for the Community

The grand opening event is designed for the whole family to enjoy! 

Guests can expect:

• Fire station and apparatus tours
• Live music
• Hot dogs fresh off the grill
• Opportunities to meet firefighters and learn more about emergency response operations

The event will also feature a traditional fire service hose-uncoupling ceremony in place of a ribbon-cutting. The long-standing tradition symbolizes placing the station into active service and recognizing its readiness to serve the community.

TCESD12 also recognizes the local organizations and partners helping make the event possible, including support from Bluebonnet Electric and H-E-B.

The district continues to value strong relationships with community partners, neighboring agencies, and educational institutions that support public safety and the future of the fire service.
